Horizon Well Logging started in 1988 with one goal in mind:  provide excellent service to oil and gas operators.  Through almost two decades and thousands of wells, we have consistently achieved that goal.  From the Anadarko Basin in western Oklahoma to the Marcellus Shale in the east, our loggers have been the "eyes and ears" of geologists and drilling engineers needing accurate, timely information about the formations they are drilling.

Horizon provides field geology services, primarily in two areas:

Mud Logging, where we evaluate gasses trapped in the drill bit lubrication fluid and examine the cuttings it brings to the surface.  Mud logging provides a wealth of information about the geology, lithology and potential economics of the bore hole.    more . . >>

Geosteering, where we assist geologists in modeling drilling formations and drilling horizontal wells.  Through extensive analysis of samples and gamma ray data, we build sophisticated graphical models of potential pay zones and help ensure maximum exploitation of the target zone.     more . . >>
